Killarney Circuit, the 1968 The Springbok Series

We were fortunate to have the best weather while Britain and Europe had the worst, the idea of the Springbok Series was a master plan that saw racing cars travel south for a month or so and race here in the sunshine while it snowed back home.

The Lola T70 race cars of Hawkins and D Udy, note the dry grass, the South Easter trade winds do that, today its still as dry but the grass is kept quite short and tidy these days.
