Roys Hillman Imp years

The Hillman Imp, my first car, I had my UK drivers licence at the age of 17, the next thing was to buy a Mk1 Imp. I now realise that with my fifty (50) years of Imp experience, I may have some past tips on the Imp to pass on? Since then there have been many other cars and things with motors in them that have come my way, this blog is about some of them. Hillman Imp Californian coupe

This car will turn fifty years old next month.

After a three year restoration its ready to do another fifty years service.

With only 6000 made they were never very common.

The car still runs the original engine block, crank bearings and pistons, just the rings were changed about ten years ago.

Wow, what neat looking little Hillman/Singer/Sunbeam (I am just as confused as what was left of the Rootes group was in those days) Really nicely done on that restoration, Roy, and that red suits it sssoooo well! Not many of those left, if any at all. Have fun with that awesome looking car...!
