The change of an old audio potentiometer for a new one, may have you needing to find out which terminal is left and which is right?
You will need a test meter that looks like this, digital types will not work in this case.
I used small lengths of shrink tube to hold the test prongs in place, I then had a hands free way to test the pot.
THe meter is set on X10 and on the side of the main body is a rotary control, turn that untill you see a reading, by turning the pots control stem, you can then find out which of the two side terminals is the one to use? In this case its the left one, with the center being the common.
