Calender days with a red fire engine


Hi Roy,

Here's a slightly newer Fire Engine. In the 70's we decided to produce a Calendar for a company in Paarden Eiland.  I was a good friend of the Fire chief of Cape Town at that time, so he allowed us to use his fire engine and take these pictures of our three models chosen for the calendar shoot. This was one of the more modest shots, some of the others got the calendar banned by the Publication Control Board for showing too much.


The top girl was Ann from Tasmania, the middle girl was Anita the secretary from the office at the time and the bottom one was recruited from a day we had at Claridges interviewing would be models, great fun.

Sadly the calendar never got published officially but we sent a lot out to local customers who loved them.

Can anyone say what model of fire engine that is?

News in from Andrew in Scotland, suggests the fore engine is the type below, looks good to me.
