I am assuming this car has the Ford 3ltr V6 under the bonnet, thats a great engine and gives an easy 140bhp, the later series gave 165bhp and was locally made in South Africa as well as other countries.
More on the TVR Tuscan can be found here. http://www.motorbase.com/vehicle/by-id/148/
For a really (really) detailed picture file on a race Tuscan with a Cosworth block V6 check here, remarkable! http://www.britishracecar.com/MichaelZappa-TVR-Tuscan.htm
In 1967, the first Tuscans were made available with only the V8 motor. The motor was a 4727cc Ford V8, similar to the motor available in early Ford Mustangs. The motor was equipped with a Ford 4-barrel carburetor, made 271 hp, and was capable of propelling the car to a top speed of 155 mph.[1]. Stopping power came from disc brakes in the front and drums in the rear. Production of the V8 models dwindled after the release of the V6, and was discontinued altogether in 1970. In total, 73 cars were sold by TVR with a V8

Taken across the road from the RCYC, so the owner was not a member, he would have parked inside the club grounds otherwise?
Both pictures were taken by Roy McBride using a Canon FT film camera.
Following on from the success of its Griffith models TVR launched the new "Tuscan" range in 1967. The first Tuscan to be launched was the V8 version in 1967, this was quickly followed in 1969 by a new V6 powered model. Production of the V8 models dropped considerably in comparison to the Griffith, however over 100 examples of the V6 version were built before the range was replaced in 1971.
The smaller V6 Tuscan used the British Ford 3.0 litre V6 engine which powered Ford models such as the Zodiac and Capri. Mechanical features included servo brakes and optional overdrive transmission. Once again the Tuscan body had no external access to the luggage area and rear lights were "donated" from the latest Mk II Cortina!
