This picture says it all,the tracks name is there and a V8 race car speeds by.
I think its GM Firenza,about 100 were made in South Africa,sold as fast road cars,the idea was for GM to go racing.Motoring writer Mike Monk told me that doing a road test and strapped in the passenger seat,the accelleration was so fierce,that he could not reach forward to write!
The race brochure tells us its a 1974 Chev Firenza driven by Jan Willem de la Porte,in class D ,car number 101.I seem to remember these cars had 5 liter V8 in them?
