As you can see,the Imps engine bay leaves very little spare space,we can get 16mm air trumpets in,plus air filters from Webcon.

The engine is a 998cc unit,note the white pipe with the open end,this was a fitting on the Rootes export cars only,it brings clean air from the front of the car and would normally fit to the Solex air cleaner intake. Note the 12volt fuel pump,they need to be mounted lower than the carbs.
