Shrink tube fitting to wire joints or cable ends

Have you ever wondered just how a pro cable joining job got to look that way?

This is the tool you will need, not a lot is it.

Once the cable end eye has been securely crimped on to the cable, you then slide a short length of shrink tube over the joint. In this case I used a stove burner, you may want to use a heat gun, or on small jobs a burning match (be carefull)

The finished job, it looks good and it will go a long way to keeping moisture out of the cable joint. Use the same shrink tube method when soldering cables end to end. Shrink tube comes in various diameters.
